Friday night

Friday night I joined Wendy for the last FNSI of the year. Thank you Wendy for having us all!
I didn't spend a lot of time in front of my sewing machine and it is all secret sewing, so can't show anything here.
But I'm knitting an Advent Mystery sock that I can show
I don't think I will finish them before Christmas but that doesn't matter, they do look nice so far.

I promised to show you what was in the parcel from Susan and here it is

2 balls of the softest wool and just my colour too, and the ornament is the most beautiful little bird with a tiny bell. I love it, Thank you Susan!
Can't wait to open the main gift on Christmas¨Day!

These are the gifts I sent to Fiona in the SSCS swap arranged by Chookyblue
This is the ornament to hang in the Christmas tree.

And I got the most beautiful little bird for the ornament, of course I forgot to take a photo of it , so will do tomorrow and also show what was inside the other gift.

Thank you Susan, I hope I will find out who you are on Christmas day!

Lucky you, you also get to see a photo of my sweet grandson! :)

The last FNwF for this year

As you know I joined Cheryll for the FNwF and as I'm in a knitting mood at the moment all I did was just that. Thank you Cheryll for a fun night!
These are the things I'm working on right now

Vanten Lysa/Shine mittens and two Advent Mystery knits, Julevotten 2016 the pattern is in Norwegian and Kammebornia Advent mystery, a sock with the same designer as the Shine mittens.

Here is a pic from around 4 o'clock in the afternoon the other day

I am here

I have joined both Cheryll for the FNwF and Wendy for the FNSI, and have sewn a lot but it has all been secrets for the swaps I'm in so still can't show anything.
But I've made a quilt for Ossian that I'm very pleased with and he likes to look at everything on it.

I almost forgot about the cosmetic bag I made for my niece
and the raggsocks I knitted for my DS2

On Sunday we celebrated the 1st of advent
And this coming Friday it is FNwF and I'm joining Cheryll again.
I will end with yet another pic from a couple of days ago.

Time's flying - as always

I can't believe it has been more than 2 months since my last post.
Lots of things has happened and one is that my DGS Ossian had a rough start and lost a lot of weight, but he is all well now and is gaining weight and growing again!

He melts my heart!

I made a babynest for him when he was born and he has already outgrown it.

Can you tell life is all about this little boy nowadays and on Sunday is his christening.

Besides all this I've made a cushion. Not my usual style, but real fun to make.
I'm also in two Christmas swaps so there's some secret sewing going on.
I will tell you all about that in due time.

It's a baby boy!

On Friday I became a Mommo to sweet baby boy Ossian, 50 cm and 3160g! Congrats to his parents my DD Emmeline and her partner Martin!

After that I didn't feel like doing much but in the evening I joined Cheryll for the FNwF and finished a cosmetic bag for Hanna who celebrated her birthday on Saturday, a month early because she is going back for her third year at college in the US next week.

The photo shows front and back of the bag.

OK, just one more to show you how happy I am!

I feel sorry

for this neglected blog, it's been a month since my last post, and when I've finished this it'll be a new month.
I thought I would have been a Nana by now, let's just say that we're all excited and expecting the baby to come any time now!!
The only things I've finished is a pencil case for Nelly's birthday, she'll be in 2nd grade when school starts again.
And I've made a pair of potholders for another birthday, but it's still a secret.
I've been test knitting a pair of socks for AlpakkaAnna, a very well written pattern as always.
It's called Morötter/Carrots
My Daughters friends through a Baby shower for her, My very first,
and they made a plaster cast of her belly and we had a cake in the shape of a belly with 2 big boobs.
We had a very nice time! :)
I gifted her this small, very small, cardigan for the baby.
Well, That was my month I'll try to check in a bit more frequently next month!

Not very much happening

I have knit a short cardi for a friend, she's going to wear it on her grand daughters wedding. I hope she'll like it.

And I've made a small see through bag, it's measuring 4,5"x7" a good size to keep some smaller notions.

We've had a bit of a warm summer, even if this week is a rainy and colder one. The warm weather has been good for my roses. Here is a photo of my Mme Plantier, she smells divine!
Tomorrow is the first Friday of the month and FNwF over at Cheryll's, go check out who's joining or if you want to join in yourself.

This is what the mystery quilt looks like, I'm going to put two borders on too
I like it so far!
